I have warm undertones. I didn’t know which shade to get, so I bought the standard 180. It was too light on my skin, so I take it out on a separate small container and mix it with some yellow iron oxide (yellow pigment in foundation) that I bought in a makeup supply store. I apply this with my finger and use a damp sponge to dab it lightly and blend it in. Then I layer a little more on the cheeks and the tip of my nose where it tend to get more sun exposure and blend it in with my finger. When I apply a face powder afterwards, my pores disappear and my skin doesn’t get shiny for hours. If I don’t wear a face powder it turns shiny, so you definitely need to set it. I use Visee’s Perfect Loose Powder. Even when it gets shiny, it goes away if I blot my face lightly with some tissue. It’s good.
